Norma Jean Kawak

Norma Jean Kawak

Norma Jean Kawak was born just outside Manchester, England, in 1942 and moved to Queensland, Australia in 1960. She married in Australia and had five children, first three sons and then twins, a boy and girl. She is now the proud grandmother of two grandsons.

Several years ago, Norma discovered the computer and considers it to have been her right arm ever since. A long time ago, Norma was told that until you have something/anything on paper you have nothing to work with and she has found that to be very true. “I can only say that I get terrible urges to ‘say’ something that will not be satisfied until I say it on paper. Writing is therapy for me.”

Norma has been running one support group or another for women since 1973. She strongly believes the pen is mightier than the sword and endeavours to use her creative talents to fight injustice.

Here is a list of Norma’s work. Click the link to go to each showcased page.
