Of Mornings and Beauty

Posted by in on 26-7-14

The audience of swaying trees,
a red-headed cardinal, peace
in my small corner of porch.
I would not believe the highway

the rumbling, unraveling of a destination,
the slim, cloudy crescent of a moon
gone to sleep. I welcome the rain
of summer, the calm waters
of this morning.
